Fiber Optic Pigtails

Fiber optic pigtails have one side terminated with a connector and other side ends with bare fibers. It is connected to the fiber core of other fiber optic cables by fusion splicing.
Fiber optic pigtails can be divided into multimode pigtails and single-mode pigtails. The pigtails commonly used in the transmission system have interfaces including SC/PC, FC/PC, LC/PC and ST/PC, etc. The shape and color of the connector are the same as those of the corresponding type of fiber optic patch cords.
