The 10G SFP+ LR transceivers are powerful and affordable modules. They can handle data at a speed of 10Gbps and can transmit signals up to 20km using MMF. These transceivers have three main parts: a strong FP laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode combined with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA), and an MCU control unit. Importantly, all of these modules meet the highest safety standards for lasers (class I). Additionally, they work seamlessly with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement and come with handy digital diagnostics functions in the form of SFF-8472.

This SFP+ LR module features a highly reliable 1310nm DFB transmitter and PIN photo-detector into LC Duplex optical connector. It conforms to industry standards like SFP+ MSA specifications (SFF-8431, SFF-8432, SFF-8472), 10 Gigabit Ethernet specifications (10GBASE-LR/LW per IEEE 802.3ae), and 10G Fibre Channel (1200-SM-LL-L).

It’s a versatile choice suitable for 10GbE Ethernet switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs), fiber media converters, and storage networking equipment, making it ideal for modern data center networking needs.

Furthermore, this SFP+ LR transceiver module includes an enhanced digital diagnostic monitoring interface (DDMI) as per SFF-8472. This feature allows real-time monitoring of crucial parameters like transceiver temperature, laser bias current, optical power, received optical power, and transceiver supply voltage. Importantly, all SFP+ transceiver modules meet the rigorous standards of FDA/CDRH and IEC-60825 and are classified as Class 1 laser products.
