MPO Breakout Cable

OS1 single-mode 8-core MPO to LC breakout cables are designed and manufactured for interconnection of single-mode equipment in highly intensive telecom rooms. Due to the high density of installation between devices, this puts a demand on the degree of easy and reliable installation of fiber patch cord MPO harnesses cables.

Usually, MPO to LC patch cable consists of MPO connector, single-mode 8-core mini fiber optic cable, branch sleeve and uniboot LC connector. The production process, first of all, according to the number of ports to be linked and the length of use, choose to cut different cores of fiber optic cable; then extract a certain length of fiber cores in the cable, peel off the coating layer and the cladding layer, and insert them into the assembled 8 cores MPO connector in order, and then complete the installation of MPO connector by curing, grinding, and lighting. At the other end of the cable, a certain length of fiber core is also extracted from the cable to access the branch, and then the same outer diameter of the cable sleeve and aramid yarn is inserted and fixed from the branch to form a protective layer for the bare fiber, and then the pre-terminated uniboot LC connector, and the whole breakout cable jumper can be produced.

Just because a patch cord is assembled and produced does not mean that the product is ready for use off-line. Then needing to test if the connector end face is clean, whether all channels can pass light transmission signal, attenuation value meets the required standards, and when any of the test data appear abnormal, it is necessary to rework or even re-production. When all the functional test items are completed, the test report will be affixed to each patch cord package one by one to show Bonelinks’ quality assurance.
