SC Fiber Optic Connector
SC fiber optic connector is one of the most common connection devices in single-mode network equipment, and it is often found on optical transceivers. For 100Base-FX, the connectors are mostly SC type. It uses a 2.5 mm ferrule, which is different from ST/FC. It is a plug-in device that does not need to be rotated, that is, a snap-in square interface. The core of the SC connector is inside the connector.
SC is the abbreviation of Square Connector. Its shape is rectangular. This type of connector is affordable, easy to plug and unplug, has small fluctuations in insertion loss, high compressive strength, and high installation density. With so many advantages, it is widely used.
