Classification of outdoor fiber optic cable

Outdoor optical cables are classified into single-mode optical fibers and multi-mode optical fibers in terms of transmission.

Single-model outdoor fiber optic cable: The inner diameter of the cladding is 9um, and the diameter is 125um. The fiber core is thin and large, the loss is low, the dispersion is small, and the transmission distance is long, and it is mostly used for long-distance or high-speed data.

The fiber core is thicker and has a narrow bandwidth, large loss, and large dispersion, and the transmission distance is generally only a few kilometers, which is suitable for short-distance or low-speed data.
